Getting here has been a bit of a crazy ride, but I hope you'll agree, it's been worth it.

Blogging is like work, but without coworkers thwarting you at every turn.

For years I've been bouncing around the internet, trying this platform and that one. It's been fun…for me, but it's also been quite exhausting. For the last few months I've been testing WordPress.org1 and Squarespace, but neither one afforded me the level of control2 I really wanted.

I think I'm finally settling into my own here on WordPress.com. I've finally set up my own site, on my own account3, with my own theme (sort of4) and even my own font choices. I've got my Portfolio, my Blog, and I'm even starting to publish the Case Studies I've been wanting to publish for years. If you feel up to it, check out some of the Articles where I drone on and on about things that hold a vague interest to me.

So take a look around. I'm still filling in some content and I'm sure things will change a bit5 over time, but I hope you'll find something interesting. Or, simply subscribe to my feed to have all my thoughts magically appear in the reader of your choice.

  1. Not to be confused with wordpress.com - a self hosted version of the same software
  2. Wordpress.org is really restrictive because they're hosting your site and Squarespace is nice, but it really isn't as nimble or flexible as I wanted.
  3.  Domain.com did try to fleece me with a crappy $75 domain change fee, but I got really lucky when chatting with a tech who did it for free
  4. Semplice is a bit of a bear to figure out, but now that I've got the hang of it, it's pretty cool!
  5. I still LOVE DayOne's Publish feature and not really sure how it's going to integrate just yet
