Interface Media Group and It'sWilder joined forces to create a brand that not only captured ForwardGro's commitment to sustainability and Maryland pride but also showcased the company's focus on sun-grown cannabis products. Together, the teams crafted a visual identity that reflected ForwardGro's values and mission, from the warm colors to the Main Mark, which was designed to represent both the sun and the extract. The end result was a brand that stood out in the market and made the client feel confident about the future of their new company.
ForwardGro's passion for sunlit grown cannabis, sustainability, Maryland, and sunsets became evident during several brand strategy sessions. These attributes were used as a platform to build the company's visual identity, characterized by warm colors, wistful fonts, and clean design.
The logo was custom-designed in two parts. The primary name and typeface were designed to be approachable and fluid yet distinct from the typical "cold" or "medical" feel of most cannabis products. The second part, the Main Mark, contains two shapes representing the sun and the extract. The Main Mark creates a simple but recognizable shape on which to build a sustainable brand for years to come.
The packaging and swag introduce the mark in fun and unexpected ways while adhering to strict legal requirements around the use of cannabis in Maryland. Using 3D prototyping, the designs were brought to life to pitch to the client. The result was a brand identity that made the client feel at ease and excited about the future of their new company. ForwardGro's commitment to sustainability and Maryland pride is now reflected in its visual identity, setting the company apart in the competitive cannabis industry.
