After the successful 2017 season, President Susan D’Antoni asked us to continue in service and be the Communications Director and join the Board of Directors for the 2018 season, which we happily accepted.
With the 2018 season just around the corner, we wanted to step up our “game” and create an entirely different campaign while simultaneously growing the KPI’s in connection with the Auburn brand. It’sWilder eventually produced over 100 elements throughout the season.
We feel this design showcased the brand & energy of the team while staying true to the Auburn spirit, at the same time giving the club a unique look and feel that was consistent & beautiful across all platforms. The result was an award-winning campaign that won the “Most Outstanding Communication” award in 2018 at the Auburn Club Awards.
For the 2018 season, we felt we needed a new design and started exploring different layouts. Each week’s game consisted of multiple elements and was custom designed for that opponent with various formats for Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and the newsletter. It was then scheduled & posted at strategic times throughout the week to maximize engagement & visibility.
Each week a Facebook event was created for our recurring Watch Parties, allowing alumni and fans who RSVP’d to get reminders and have robust discussions around game events.
Custom posters were designed and produced for promotion and distribution on social media platforms and within the newsletter for several events.
For special events, It’sWilder would be on-site to document the event, creating memorable moments which were collected and posted online for every club member to download for free.
From cross-promoting social profiles, items for sale, photos from events or watch parties, interesting articles, and more, It’sWilder created a robust social network that was constantly filled with content.
The Auburn Alumni Club Awards are given out each year to the most outstanding clubs in their respective areas, with over 100 clubs competing each year. This year Metro Washington Auburn Club won for “Most Outstanding Communication,” which recognizes It’sWilder for our work with the club’s social media and communication efforts.
